<image:caption>German-born violinist and vocalist Anne Rieh, described by Cabaret Scenes as “Enthralling and utterly charming”, is drawn to a variety of styles. She has worked as a cabaret performer, jazz singer, and classical violinist at the Schlosstheater Steglitz in Berlin, The Gardenia Supper Club, Masquers Cabaret, The Three Clubs, The Vermont, The Dresden Room, and 20/20 Bar in Los Angeles, The Mercury Cafe, The Rock and Soul Cafe, Dazzle Jazz, Sip Bar, and the MSU Denver Jazz Celebration in Denver, and the Boulder Piano Gallery in Boulder, performing standard repertoire, but also more obscure German and French Cabaret music of the 1920s and 1930s, as well as a wide array of Kurt Weill’s music. Cabaret Scenes wrote about her show Rieh Defining Dietrich, “her take on I’m Tired would even have had Dietrich envious.” In 2012, Anne and her husband Randy were invited to hold a recital at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany. In 2016, she performed with her bluegrass ensemble at TedEx in Denver. Anne double majored in vocal jazz performance and classical violin performance at Metropolitan State University of Denver and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz and American Improvised Music. She was selected to perform in master classes with Sylvia McNair and Imani Winds. In 2014, Anne was student co-producer of the MSU Denver Jazz Celebration for which she received a “Dedicated Service Award” from the music department. Anne was a graduate assistant at the University of Memphis, and graduated with a Master’s degree in violin performance in May 2022. During her time at UofM, Anne was selected to play in chamber master classes with the Verona Quartet and the Merz Trio. Besides performing, Anne has been teaching voice and violin for over ten years. She has taught bluegrass and improvisation workshops at MSU Denver as part of the EOP String Competition, and was program coordinator and instructor for Strings Abroad, a chamber music summer camp in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. An avid believer in the Suzuki method, Anne is a member and registered teacher of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and trained in books 1-8. In addition, Anne holds a Master’s of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism from the Freie Universität Berlin. Currently, Anne resides with her husband, pianist and singer Randy Reeman in Memphis.</image:caption>
